12 Tops Foods on My Grocery List

Andrea Kohlmeyer

I think we often over-complicate nutrition.  Our lives are filled with enough stresses, why make living a healthy life and eating nutritious foods stressful? There are certain vitamins and minerals that help improve egg and sperm quality, therefore improving embryo quality and affecting your future baby's health well into adulthood (Vitamin B-12, Vitamin B-6, Vitamin D, folate, choline, antioxidants). Not only do these help with fueling your fertility, but are also helpful for the whole family in improving overall health and preventing chronic disease (diabetes, cancer, heart disease, etc). While I am preparing my body for our next frozen embryo tran

sfer, I am also focusing on providing my husband, 3 year old and 1 year old with food that fuels their bodies and want to provide foods they all enjoy (and will eat!).

I am no chef (just ask my husband!) I often get clients who assume I am a good cook and enjoy cooking because I am a dietitian. Haha...I wish this

were the case! So I need recipes that are fairly quick and easy and not over-complicated. This goes the same with my grocery list. Most weeks, my grocery list looks the same.

Here are 12 foods you will always find in my cart:

-salmon

-chicken

-eggs

-whole greek yogurt

-berries (fresh or frozen)

-bananas

-sweet potatoes

-avocado

-spinach

-kale

-walnuts

-almonds

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Love and baby blessings,

Andrea
